Poker and luck

You can meet most of the “lucky” players online, they declare to be a good player or even a PRO. It’s mostly at the free games without money, at the freerolls where you can win money and sometimes also at the tables with small buy-ins. In real life, they are playing as they do online… And then it means “All In” and one more “All In” and one more “All In”. If they win, it means: “I won, I’m good”! If they lose, it means: “………” (All that bad words the world knows).

Like yesterday I played one of those Sit and Go’s online at one of these free poker sites on Facebook. There are 9 players on the table, everyone with 1000 chips and the first hand begins. 1st player calls, 2nd folds, 3rdraises to 200, 4th all in, 5th folds, 6thall in, 7th all in, 8thin small blind folds, 9th in big blind folds, the action is now on the 1st player again and he folds, the 3rd player who raised goes all in too. The first hand and 4 of 9 players on the table are all in. They show their cards…
there are 78 vs. KJ vs. 63 and AK.

What a range of hands who go all in first hand!

Then comes the flop A K J and the best hand pre flop is still the best…
then the turn and river 7 2… what can I say – the winning hand is the last and worst hand that goes all in pre flop!!!

But that’s online poker, lucky poker, “donk” poker and it happens every day.

The question is how can the beginners learn to play well and proper poker with that kind of tournament play online? It’s impossible! So the online industry lets the next generation of “lucky” players grow up. Is this still the good old poker?
I don’t like those “lucky” players; they destroy the game and take away the illusion and the nice atmosphere at the table.
