"ANGLE SHOOT" is a dirty trick at the poker table.
Is it a game strategy or should it be classified as cheating?
Unfortunately using this dirty trick in poker is legal and not against the rules. Few days ago I found an article about all the tricks and how you can prevent the "angle shooter" to use them in the game. I think it is a really sensitive matter, we are talking about.
Check the whole article* and come back to see an example of "angle shoot", which went around the world!
... and here the example* : Video of the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Madrid in 2011

FAVORITE HAND
It happens every time I play a live
poker. If it is in a live tournament or private party with a friendly poker
game. At least one of the players at the table starts to report about his game
experience and his favorite hand in Texas Holdem.
Why is a favorite hand a favorite
hand? Is it because you won more often or the biggest pot with? Or because of
your lucky numbers, your birthday or your name initials? Or is it because of the
statistics for these hole cards?
Any way… I don’t have a favorite
hand… but a hate hand! I hate K Q! With these hole cards I am not feeling
comfortable. I could say I lose the most pots with this starting hand. The
statistics can really be excellent but they don’t work for me… Already before
the Flop every ace is dominating you. After the flop you mostly hit a open end
straight draw or gut shot. In this case you can lose a lot of your chip stack
for hunting the straight that never comes. Also with suited cards you are
looking for your flush and finally there is an ace high flush next to you…
I know this can happen with other
connector cards too but in my case I hit my straight or flush with other
connectors than that. Doesn’t matter I am playing online or live poker.
What is your favorite hand and why?

2015 - CONGRESSIONAL HEARING ON RAWA
House Subcommittee hearing
on the Restoration of America's Wire Act (RAWA) legislation is stacked
against Internet poker as expected.
It's typical
for such hearings in a Republican-controlled subcommittee to have three
witnesses chosen by Republicans and one by Democrats. It's obvious that Aftab
is the Democrat choice while the Republicans have made three choices for
Adelson rather than provide a diverse panel.
Poker Players Alliance executive director John Pappas hoped that the Republicans
would give one spot to a representative of the many conservative groups who
have come out against RAWA as a violation of state rights, personal rights and
Internet freedom.
In addition
to Aftab, Pappas suggested that appropriate witnesses to provide balance to the
proceedings would have been someone such as Michelle Minton from the
Competitive Enterprise Institute to talk about the Wire Act and its
application, or a regulator from New Jersey or Nevada.
"Those
types of people should have been given consideration," Pappas said.
"It's very concerning that the committee is ignoring key issues and
shutting those people out to stack the deck solely for those one-sided
anti-Internet advocates."

HEADS UP
Heads up is a form of poker that is played
between only two players. This situation can arise or result on three different
ways in a poker game:
- Through a betting round at a poker table, where all other players fold and only two remain playing the hand
- In a tournament, after all other players have been eliminated
- A special Heads Up Championship
The way to play Heads Up is totally
different. The reason for this is the change in probabilities and pot odds.
For example at a table with 10
players the probability that somebody holds a bigger pocket pair than your KK
pre flop is 0,0439 (1:23), whereas against only 1 player in heads up it is 0,0049
(1:204). Don’t forget, this heads up probability doesn’t apply to the 1st
point of the Heads Up situations above!
You’ll find that good players use
these odds to play more aggressively forcing their opponents to fold marginal
hands.
But think about this: “Any two cards
can win!” and the winning probability of the worst starting hand, 7 2 off suit is still 12% against pocket aces and
even 32,5% against A K off suit before the flop*. Surprising, isn’t it?
